Getting Started with Continuous Integration on CircleCI 2.0
Modern development is complex, with lots of tools to turn the code we write into the code used by the user’s browser. This can be a simple and minifying assets or as sophisticated as downloading dependencies and turning source code into production code.
In this session we will look at how to offload build steps from developers to CircleCI and take advantage of the new 2.0 version for faster builds. Throwing in some automated testing and deployment as well will allow us to save hours of development time by offloading repeatable tasks to robots in the cloud.
1. Understanding continuous integration and it's advantages
2. Moving build steps from a manual process done by developers to the cloud
3. Mitigating risk and improving QA with automated testing
